The Glassman Chipper: Week 29 "Anatomy and Physiology for Jocks"

Short and sweet, Week 29.  Common terminology is required to communicate effectively, so in August of 2003 Coach Glassman described his process for flattening Anatomy and Physiology (A&P) cues.  "Four parts, three joints, two motions, and three rules."

  1. Spine, Pelvis, Femur, Tibia
  2. Sacroiliac Joint, Hip Joint, Knee Joint
  3. Flexion and Extension
  4. Pelvis and Spine stay together, Power comes from the Hip, and Do not let the Pelvis chase the Femur

Beyond this A&P can get extremely detailed complicated, but as standard baseline of comprehension the four bullets above will take you quite far.

Read the article (3 pages with many graphics), explore the thoughts, and ask questions.  You never know, there might be a quiz!
